This guide explains
how to set up a 4G LTE router to connect to the Piramie 4G
network in Rwanda.
Follow the steps below
to get your internet connection up and running.
What You Need Before
You Start
A 4G
LTE router (unlocked and compatible with LTE networks)
An active
Piramie 4G SIM card
Power
adapter for the router
A
phone, tablet, or computer with Wi-Fi
Step 1: Insert the SIM
Card
Power off the
router.
Insert
the Piramie SIM card into the SIM slot (ensure correct
orientation).
Attach
the router antennas (if external).
Power
the router on.
Wait 1–2 minutes for
the router to boot.
Step 2: Check Network
Signal
Look at
the signal indicator lights on the router.
If the
signal is weak:
Move
the router closer to a window
Place
it higher (on a shelf or table)
Avoid
walls and metal objects
A stronger signal
improves speed and stability.
Step 3: Connect to the
Router Wi-Fi
On your
phone or computer, open Wi-Fi settings.
Connect
to the Wi-Fi name (SSID) shown on the router label.
Enter
the Wi-Fi password printed on the router.
Step 4: Access the
Router Settings
Open a
web browser.
Enter
the router IP address (commonly):
Log in
using the admin username and password (usually on the
router label).
Step 5: Configure
Mobile Network (APN)
In the router settings:
Go
to Network / Mobile / APN Settings
Set APN
details as follows:
Save settings and
restart the router if prompted.
Step 6: Confirm
Internet Connection
Once
connected, the router status should show 4G / LTE connected
Open a
website (e.g. google.com) to confirm internet access
If the page loads,
your setup is complete.
Common Troubleshooting
Tips
No
internet: Restart
the router and recheck APN settings
Slow
speed: Reposition
the router for better signal
No
signal: Confirm
the SIM is active and properly inserted
Can’t
log in: Reset
the router (press and hold reset button for 10 seconds)
